The Ark, Poole Park wins at the Dorset Tourism Awards
The Ark, Poole Park has been awarded bronze in the Small Visitor Attraction category at the Dorset tourism awards 2015.
Recognising Dorset’s top quality and most progressive tourism businesses, finalists in the annual Tourism Awards were subjected to a comprehensive three-stage judging process conducted by an independent panel of experts and tourism professionals to establish the very best of the region’s tourism businesses, from cafés, pubs and restaurants to hotels, events and visitor attractions.
Situated in the heart of Poole’s historic park, The Ark is one of Dorset’s leading family leisure attractions with real ice rink, soft play and café facilities. Offering an all-weather family fun day out, The Ark boasts a bespoke split-level soft play area, café with heated outside terrace and indoor ice rink. Open daily throughout the year (except Christmas Day) with easy, free parking, The Ark has become renowned for its legendary school holiday camps, children’s parties and special events since opening in December 2013.
Sarah de Lisle, Owner, said: “We are thrilled and honoured to once again receive this award, which recognises the incredible hard work and dedication of our team to deliver a truly excellent all-weather family fun day out, year-round. We pride ourselves on our facilities and service, and are continually evolving our business to ensure we offer a first-class experience for every visitor while establishing ourselves as the ultimate family destination in Poole. Set amid the beautiful surroundings of Poole Park, we enjoy an idyllic, unrivalled location and feel privileged to have this recognised for the second year running.
Unveiled at a glittering awards ceremony hosted at Bovington Tank Museum on 15th October 2015, The Dorset Tourism Awards is now in its fourth year and attracted 76 entries across 17 awards categories. For further information on the Dorset Tourism Awards, visit www.dorsettourismawards.org.uk.
