The Ark Poole Park Wins ‘Small Visitor Attraction’ in the Dorset Tourism Awards 2014
The Ark won bronze in ‘Small Visitor Attraction of the Year’, one of 46 trophies presented at a glittering awards ceremony on 16th October at The Tank Museum, Bovington. Following a rigorous three-stage judging process comprising initial scoring, a mystery shopper visit and final assessment by an independent judging panel, The Ark was shortlisted in one of 16 categories covering best accommodation, events, activity providers, pubs, places to eat and drink, and venues.
Sarah de Lisle, owner, said “We are thrilled and privileged to receive this award in our first year of trading. It’s a testament to the hard work and investment that went into creating The Ark and to the management and staff who continually deliver a first class experience for local and visiting families. We created The Ark with a vision of providing a welcoming, family-friendly destination with outstanding play facilities and great food and drink. This accolade recognises our significant achievements to date whilst firmly putting The Ark on the map as a key attraction and contributor to Poole’s economy, all year round.”
